TXT0 = No Cost Textbooks
How Do I Know What Textbooks I Need?
Begin by logging into your STAR account
Step 1: Click Register - Add/Drop Classes
Make sure you are choosing from the right semester window
Step 2: Click the three white lines at the top right of the page
Then, click Textbooks in the drop-down menu
Step 3: Click the link for the current term's textbooks in the pop-up window
This will take you to the bookstore page, but it will not require you to purchase your books there.
Step 4: Use the drop-down menus on the left until you've added all your classes to the right.
Then click the Compare Prices button.
Step 5: Choose where you want to buy your books
All REQUIRED books will be on your left
Click each book to see all your purchase options
Note that some textbooks may be labeled IDAP
These will be automatically charged to your UH account and will show up in your balance on STAR.
The IDAP Program was implemented to reduce the price of textbooks for students. You can opt out if you wish to do so.
