To schedule an appointment with a counselor on STAR Balance, you must be an admitted student and have completed Steps 1-5 to get started. Please watch the video above or follow these directions:

1. Go to star.hawaii.edu/appointment

   • Click ENTER and login with your UH username and password​

2. See menu, click ACADEMIC ADVISING​

3. Click KAP RETURNING STUDENTS

4. Be sure the checkbox under is selected for KAPIOLANI CC PAHIHI

5. Move forward through the weeks to see the next available appointment. During busy times, students will need to forward at least 1-2 weeks for an open appointment time.

6. Click an open appointment time, choose your appointment duration, and answer all of the options.

7. Please list as much information as possible in STEP TWO (Appointment Comment) so the counselor can prepare for your appointment.

8. Please check your UH email (gmail.hawaii.edu) for the appointment confirmation and additional details. This email also allows you to cancel the appointment if you no longer need it. These emails will NOT go to your personal email address.
