Send Us Your Transcripts

Are you coming to KCC with college credits from somewhere outside of the UH System? If so, please follow these steps to have your credits evaluated.

 

1. Submit official transcripts directly from your former school to KCC

 

Option A: Electronically sent to kapteval@hawaii.edu

 

Option B: Physical copy sent to:

                Kapiolani Community College

                Attention: 'Ilima 102

                4303 Diamond Head Road

                Honolulu, HI 96816

 

2. Since we have students send us transcripts for a wide variety of reasons, you must tell the Evaluation Office that you would like your credits to be evaluated, by completing the Transcript Evaluation Request (TER) Form. To complete the form, you must be logged in to your hawaii.edu account for access to the form.

 

3. An email will be sent once your transcripts have been evaluated. So check email often! Please expect up to 6-8 weeks of time for processing if you are requesting the evaluation close or during the registration period. To avoid this long wait, PLEASE DO THIS EARLY!

 

4. Once you have been notified your credits have been evaluated, I am happy to meet with you to help you to understand how the credits will count toward graduation requirements at KCC. Please email me at kapstart@hawaii.edu to arrange an individual appointment.

 

*** As a side note, sometimes our Evaluation Department needs additional details and will ask you for a copy of a syllabus. It is helpful if you already have these on hand, in case this additional information is requested.
